Students started this project by choosing an animal they wanted to use for their artwork. After discussing types of printmaking and looking at some images, students began drawing their animals. Students spent a couple weeks practicing their drawing skills to make sure their animals looked perfect. Next, students transferred their animals to a piece of foam. After the animals were transferred, it was time to print. The results look amazing! 5th grade did a wonderful job with this project!

5th Grade has been learning about foreground, middle ground, and background this quarter. Students created beautiful fall/winter landscapes showing the perspective of foreground, middle ground and background. Students learned to draw different types of trees and were able to brush up on their painting skills by using both watercolor and tempera paints. The paintings are beautiful 5th grade!
5th grade students have just finished their name projects focusing on perspective and value. Students learned about perspective and how to depict something 3-D on a 2-D surface. Students used one point perspective to draw their names in block letters and create their perspective lines disappearing at the vanishing point. They then colored their artworks with different values of one hue. The results are amazing! Well done 5th Grade!
